Jeffrey Greenwell is the owner of the Law Office of Jeffrey K. Greenwell, PLLC. Approximately 95% of the law firm’s practice consists of Chapter 7, Chapter 13, and Subchapter V of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Business law, debt negotiations, and contracts are its other practice areas. Jeffrey focuses on helping individuals and businesses achieve financial relief through personalized solutions, including bankruptcy filings, creditor settlements, and debt workouts.
Although the law firm is located in Whitefish, Montana, and primarily represents clients in Whitefish, Kalispell, Columbia Falls, other areas of the Flathead Valley, Lincoln County, Sanders County, Lake County, and Missoula County, it represents individuals and businesses throughout Montana. Jeffrey has represented both individual and corporate clients. During the great recession, he represented the Yellowstone Mountain Club’s creditors’ committee while working with James H. Cossitt, P.C., and Parsons Behle & Latimer. That bankruptcy case resulted in the creditors’ committee equitably subordinating a $370 million secured loan in favor of unsecured creditors.
Jeffrey is a Local Rules and Forms Committee member for the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Montana. He has also served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Flathead County Justice Court, a contributing editor for West’s Bankruptcy Exemption Manual, Past President of the Northwest Montana Bar Association, and a board member.
He graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor’s in Technical Sales and a Minor in Philosophy and earned a Master of Studies in Environmental Law and Juris Doctor. Before his legal career, Jeffrey worked as a river guide on the Snake River in Grand Teton National Park.
